The Rector of the University of Prishtina (UP), Qerim Qerimi, and Vice-Rector Arta Basha Jakupi had the pleasure of hosting the 2022-2023 Fulbright U.S. Students: Avyan Mejdeen, Alexandra Feldhusen and Isabel Conforti, currently on their Fulbright journey placed at different Institutions of Higher Education in Kosovo. The American Councils' Ms. Nora Nimani-Musa, facilitated the meeting and established the platform for furthering the collaboration.

On this occasion, rector Qerimi acknowledged the Fulbright scholarship's transformational experience as he and also the vice-rector have been part of the Fulbright program as well while staying at Harvard University and vice rector at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both at Cambridge, MA in the USA.

“Fulbright scholarships for individuals play a crucial role in nourishing the special bond that Kosovo and the United States share. Annually, Fulbright receivers have the exciting chance to study, work, and experience life in Kosovo and to exemplify the greatest of the U.S.,”- stated rector Qerimi.

The students expressed their desire to assist in bettering the University of Prishtina and other resources they can provide. “The University of Pristina has so much potential to offer its students, and I am delighted to contribute to the future of academia,” said Avyan Mejdeen, English Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Law, UP.

We look forward to this collaboration and experience exchange between the U.S. and Kosovo students.
