The University of Prishtina is pleased to inform students about the 2025 MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program, which offers an opportunity to pursue higher education in Taiwan. The scholarship, administered by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Republic of China (Taiwan), aims to support outstanding international students in their academic journey.
Scholarship:
Recipients of the MOE Taiwan Scholarship will receive:
- Tuition and Fees Coverage: Up to NT$40,000 per semester for tuition and miscellaneous fees. Any amount exceeding NT$40,000 must be covered by the student.
- Monthly Stipend:
- NT$15,000 for undergraduate students
- NT$20,000 for graduate (Master’s and PhD) students

Available Scholarships
The Taipei Representative Office in Hungary will select up to eight students from eligible countries, including Kosovo.
Scholarship Duration
- Bachelor’s Degree: Up to 4 years
- Master’s Degree: Up to 2 years
- Doctoral Degree: Up to 4 years
- The maximum duration of the scholarship is 5 years if a student transitions from one degree level to another.
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Kosovo, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Montenegro.
- Hold a high school diploma or higher degree.
- Have an outstanding academic record and demonstrate good moral character.
Applicants are NOT eligible if they:
- Hold R.O.C. (Taiwan) nationality or permanent residency.
- Are already enrolled in a university in Taiwan (exceptions apply for those graduating and pursuing a higher degree).
- Have previously received the Taiwan Scholarship for a total of five years.
- Are receiving another scholarship from the Taiwan government.
Application Process
- Apply online at Taiwan Scholarship Portal.
- Print the application form and submit it along with the required documents to the Taipei Representative Office in Hungary by March 31, 2025.
Required Documents
- Completed Taiwan Scholarship Application Form (printed from the online application system).
- Copy of passport or other nationality certificate.
- Copy of highest degree diploma and transcripts (translated into English or Chinese and authenticated).
- Proof of application to a Taiwanese university.
- Language proficiency certificate (if applicable, TOCFL Level 3 or proof of English-taught program).
- Two sealed recommendation letters from professors, instructors, or supervisors.
- Signed Taiwan Scholarship Terms of Agreement.
Selection Process
- Applications will be reviewed by the Taipei Representative Office in Hungary.
- Interviews may be conducted if necessary.
- Selected candidates will be notified by May 31, 2025.
- Admitted candidates must submit a university admission letter by June 30, 2025.
Additional Information
Kosovar students who receive the scholarship are encouraged to participate in the Taiwan Alumni Association in Hungary (TAA), which provides networking and cultural exchange opportunities for students who have studied in Taiwan.
