The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) of Italy has announced the call for applications for three distinguished awards designed to strengthen international scientific and technological collaboration.
1. "Science, She Says!" Award
Now in its third edition, this award honors outstanding young female researchers (non-Italian) under 40 from various regions. Five awards will be given, representing Africa and the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Central and South America, and North America.
The Award event will take place during the Italian Scientific Attachés Conference, scheduled for 2025, with the date and location to be announced.
All fields of science and technology will be considered. Each award will include an engraved medal and a diploma, to be presented at the Conference.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will cover travel and accommodation expenses.
2. "Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award"
In its eighth year, this award acknowledges the achievements of senior Italian scientists currently active in Kosovo.
It recognizes their impactful work in advancing scientific cooperation between Italy and Kosovo across all fields of science and technology.
Italian researchers engaged in collaborative projects in Kosovo are invited to apply.
3. "Innovation that Speaks Italian Award"
This award is dedicated to Italian founders of tech startups operating in Kosovo, recognizing their contributions to developing innovative and technologically advanced startups.
It aims to encourage the creation and expansion of tech-driven initiatives that foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Kosovo.
The application deadline for each of these awards is January 17, 2025.
