The University of Prishtina has marked another achievement on the international level. For the first time since its establishment, our institution has been ranked in Times Higher Education (THE), a global benchmark for excellence in higher education, research, and innovation.
The annual "THE" ranking rigorously evaluates universities around the world. This ranking includes 1,904 universities from 108 different countries, ranked by calculating the performance of higher education institutions in areas such as teaching, research environment, quality of research, industry, and international perspective. The inclusion of the University of Prishtina in this ranking marks an extraordinary achievement for the institution and its staff and an essential step in our presence and influence on the global stage. "This success of the university is proof of the dedication and scientific achievements of our academic staff, and the further promotion is the incomparable priority and unwavering commitment of this management", emphasizes the rector Prof. Qerim Qerimi, who at the same time expresses his deep gratitude for all those who contributed during this process, including the vice-rector for Research, Projects, Innovation, and Information, Prof. Avdiaj, the vice-rectors, and the Office for Sponsored Research and Projects for the close cooperation in this process, the deans of the academic units and the UP staff as a whole.
As the only university from Kosovo ranked in the Times Higher Education ranking, the University of Prishtina bears the responsibility to constantly raise the standards of scientific, research, and innovation excellence standards. This achievement is a reflection of our lasting commitment to the advancement of higher education and shaping the future of Kosovo through scientific research and innovation.
