On the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s declaration of independence, President Vjosa Osmani honored MEP Lukas Mandl with the “Presidential Medal of Merit” for never forgetting those who “recognized our pain, listened to our voice, contributed to our right to freedom.”
Mandl was one of the founders of the Kosovo-Austria Friendship Association, currently led by Arbër Marku.
In addition to his engagement at the University of Prishtina, Mandl will discuss Kosovo’s challenges and European integration prospects at Kadri Zeka University in Gjilan. The Austrian MEP was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by this university in 2023.
