Armond Daci, associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine, has achieved significant scientific success, recently publishing in the prestigious journal 'Microcirculation', published by Wiley Online Library and indexed in Web of Science and Scopus (the official journal of the Microcirculation Association ).

This experimental scientific work was carried out during Professor Daci's stay at Michigan State University (MSU) through the Fulbright scholarship (Post Doctoral Research Fellow).

The process of academic writing until the final publication was carried out within the academic scientific work at UP.

Armondi and his colleagues at MSU, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, have found that Serotonin (5-HT) causes hypotension and a decrease in total peripheral resistance due to dilation of small arterioles in skeletal muscle through 5-HT7 receptors.

Now the microcirculation technique is part of Professor Dac's laboratory in Kosovo as well.

This is the work of the "original research" category, published in a journal with an impact factor, which holds the affiliation of UP.
