The Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo, Maurizio Antonini, was welcomed at the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina by Rector Arben Hajrullahu and Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Projects, and Innovation, Avni Hajdari.

The primary theme of the meeting between the ambassador and the rector was the strengthening of cooperation between Italian universities and the University of Prishtina. 

During the meeting, Rector Hajrullahu stated that the university is fully open to exploring areas of mutual interest through which the University of Prishtina can develop and strengthen ties with universities in Italy. 

Ambassador Antonini expressed his commitment to working alongside the staff of the Italian Embassy to advance joint programs between the University of Prishtina and universities in his country. 

The meeting also addressed the Arbëresh community in Italy and the Italian language courses offered at the Language Center of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina, serving as a bridge connecting the two peoples and their cultures.
