At the meeting held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the University of Gjilan "Kadri Zeka," the Conference of Rectors of Public Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Kosovo approved its work regulations, among other items, and reached a cooperation agreement among the country’s public universities.

The agreement between the eight public universities (University of Prishtina, University "Ukshin Hoti" of Prizren, University "Haxhi Zeka" of Peja, University "Isa Boletini" of Mitrovica, University "Kadri Zeka" of Gjilan, University "Fehmi Agani" of Gjakova, University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, and the International Public College of Business in Mitrovica) aims to deepen academic, scientific-research, educational, and cultural cooperation based on digitalization principles in the age of artificial intelligence.

By adopting the work regulations, the Rectors' Conference established the foundations of its operations, outlining the activities and responsibilities of the institution. The regulations stipulate that the conference’s headquarters will remain at the University of Prishtina and that all approved documents will be archived there.

In addition to approving the work regulations, the meeting—led by the Rector of the University of Prishtina, Arben Hajrullahu—also selected the conference’s logo, emblem, and seal, designed by Zeni Ballazhi, a professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prishtina. The rectors thanked him for his work.

These three key elements of the Rectors' Conference’s identity will be used on all official documents issued by the institution.

In December of last year, rectors of public universities gathered to discuss optimal policies for leading higher education and elected Arben Hajrullahu, Rector of the University of Prishtina, as chair of the Rectors' Conference.
