The University of Prishtina inaugurated its newest "Mobile Journalism & UPpodcast Lab," a modern facility with an investment of over 25,000 euros from the "Tayna Foundation." At the inauguration ceremony, Avni Hajdari, the Vice-Rector of the University of Prishtina, expressed institutional gratitude for this initiative and presented a token of appreciation to the donor on behalf of the university.
"We are grateful for this investment, which will create better working conditions for professors in teaching and facilitate the learning process for students. Artist Tayna's contribution is an inspiring example for others to follow," said Hajdari. He added that this donation marks the first instance of an institution being supported by a public figure, paving the way for artists to contribute to society and community beyond their art.
Meanwhile, Doruntina Shala, Director of the "Tayna Foundation," emphasized her commitment to supporting youth and their education. "You will always have open doors with ‘Tayna Foundation’ because I believe that any contribution to education and realizing your passions will resonate beyond the walls of this university," Shala stated. She thanked the UP academic staff for the space provided and the partnership in realizing this project.
The inauguration was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Abdullah Rexhepi, Head of the Journalism Department, Muhamet Jahiri, and Vice President of the Student Parliament, Blerta Zeqiraj.
