The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kosovo, Karin Boven, discussed further cooperations between universities and the two countries with the Rector of the University of Pristina, Arben Hajrullahu.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Rozafa Basha, while the Dutch ambassador was accompanied by the senior rule of law officer at the embassy, Venera Ramaj.

Rector Hajrullahu informed the Dutch ambassador that the University of Pristina is ranked highest on prestigious international platforms among all Albanian-language universities in the geographic area where Albanians live, also recalling the significant role this institution played in the state-building process of Kosovo.

Leading such an institution is, first and foremost, a responsibility, explained the rector, while Vice-Rector Rozafa Basha mentioned the Dutch higher education institutions with which the University of Pristina already collaborates.

Surprised by all these cooperations with universities in her country, Ambassador Boven said that this is a very good thing for the University of Pristina.

The ambassador visited the Rectorate a day after UP signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
