At a meeting with Ukrainian journalists, Rector Arben Hajrullahu stated that the answer to primitive nationalism that leads to wars is Europe, with its cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity.
The rector then told his guests that he understands what they and their country are going through, as Kosovo and its people experienced the same challenges in the past.
He mentioned that the University of Prishtina has a Language Center in the Faculty of Philology, where, in the future, Ukrainian language could also be taught.
The meeting also highlighted the presence of Albanians living in Ukraine, mainly in the villages of the Odessa region, serving as a bridge between the two peoples and cultures.
The Ukrainian journalists remarked that Kosovo is a success story and an inspiration for them, as it has overcome similar difficulties before.
Rector Hajrullahu then spoke to Kyiv's "Hromadske Radio" about global developments and the role of higher education in fostering peace and development.
Shortly after the war in Ukraine began, the Government of Kosovo, along with European and Kosovar media organizations, facilitated the relocation of Ukrainian journalists to Kosovo to continue their work.
