At the 10th Senate meeting of the University of Prishtina, held on Monday, December 23, 2024, Rector Arben Hajrullahu announced that starting in the academic year 2025/26, the doctoral studies competition will be published in early 2025, and applicants will be required to submit results from internationally recognized English language proficiency tests.

These tests were until now administered by professors from the Department of English at the University of Prishtina. Rector Hajrullahu emphasized the importance of standardizing this process and announced that the doctoral studies competition for the next academic year will be published no later than December 31, 2024.

During this meeting, the Senate unanimously approved several doctoral dissertation topics proposed by their respective mentors. Additionally, the Senate ratified several doctoral theses presented by various members.

Furthermore, working groups were established during the Senate meeting to draft regulations for assessing the performance of academic staff and to address the role of the Ombudsperson for students.

This Senate meeting marked the final session of 2024.
