At the 7th Fair of French Universities held at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Prishtina, students and graduates were presented with opportunities to study in France.

During their speeches at the event, the Ambassador of France to Kosova, Mr. Olivier Guérot, and the rector of the University of Prishtina, Arben Hajrullahu, highlighted the shared values and cultural connections between their nations.

Ambassador Guérot expressed regret for not speaking Albanian, the language of writer Ismail Kadare, who passed away in July of this year and spent part of his life in France. Meanwhile, Rector Hajrullahu mentioned joint projects between the University of Prishtina and French universities, such as the excavation project in Ulpiana.

Representatives from 10 higher education institutions in France presented their study offerings to students and graduates of the University of Prishtina.

The Ambassador of France to Kosova, Mr. Olivier Guérot, praised the educational system of the country he represents. “The French university system is very diverse and has much to offer, and we are here to help build your vision,” said Mr. Guérot.

Subsequently, stands with brochures and information about each participating French institution were set up in the spaces of the Faculty of Philology.

The Fair of French Universities has previously offered study opportunities in France for students from the University of Prishtina.

Through the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, which supports education, training, youth, and sports, more than 6,000 Kosovar students from the University of Prishtina and other higher education institutions in Kosova have benefited so far.
