The University of Prishtina and the Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo have signed a memorandum of cooperation to help uncover war crimes and confront the past.
The agreement was signed by Rector Arben Hajrullahu on behalf of the University of Prishtina and Atdhe Hetemi, Executive Director of the Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo.
The memorandum outlines plans for developing research projects, organizing conferences and seminars, and sharing resources and expertise to support joint activities.
It also includes initiatives focused on educating the public about the history and consequences of the war, while seeking partnerships with regional and international organizations.
Rector Hajrullahu noted that this collaboration will provide valuable learning opportunities for both institutions. Executive Director Hetemi highlighted that since taking on his role, his priority has been to leverage local expertise for the institute’s work.
To date, the Institute has collected 8,500 hours of recordings and 6,700 photographs documenting crimes committed during the war.
