University of Prishtina Joins the 7th Forum of Rectors in Southeastern Europe and Western Balkans

The University of Prishtina (UP) participated in the 7th Forum of Rectors of Southeastern Europe and Western Balkans, a significant regional partnership fostering collaboration in education, research, and innovation among universities in this dynamic region. The forum was held in Rijeka, Croatia, and brought together representatives from around 70 member universities in academia, who convened in various working groups and the General Assembly.

The University of Prishtina was represented by Prof. Dr. Faton Berisha, the Vice-Rector for Academic Personnel, Integrity, and Publications, and Fitim Seferi from the Office of Sponsored Research and Projects. Their presence underscored UP's commitment to engaging in regional cooperation and driving academic excellence.

One of the forum's outcomes was the acceptance of applications from four new universities, namely the University of Tirana (Albania), University Haxhi Zeka (Kosovo), University Ukshin Hoti Prizren (Kosovo), and Goce Delchev University (North Macedonia).

Representatives of the Rectors' Forum of Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans member universities also adopted a declaration, pledging to work together to improve and strengthen regional and international links, and to launch joint initiatives and projects to raise the standards of quality in research and higher education, while also improving academic mobility within the member network.
