As part of the International Summer University of Prishtina, Professors Aaqif Afzaal Abbasi, from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China and Qamil Kabashi from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Prishtina have taught the "Computer Architecture and Systems" module for the local and visiting students.

The lecturer mostly concentrated on the Internet of Things (IoT) concept and IoT trends.

According to the professor, the Internet of Things, also known as IoT, is "a network of interconnected computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals, or people that are given unique identifiers (UIDs) and the capacity to transfer data over a network without the need for human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction."

Examples of things instructors incorporate in their lectures to dig deeper include a human with a heart monitor implant, a farm animal with a biochip transponder, or a car with built-in sensors to tell the driver when the tire pressure is low, are all examples to help students gain a deeper understanding of IoT.

The material supplied strengthened the interaction between the professors and the students who participated in the module.
