We are pleased to share the news about the visit of prof. dr. Arta Basha Jakupi, vice-rector for internationalization at the University of Prishtina, developed at the Western University of Timisoara and the King Michael I University of Sciences in Timisoara, Romania.

The purpose of the visit was to mediate and explore opportunities for cooperation between universities.

During her visit to the Western University of Timisoara, prof. dr. Jakupi had the opportunity to meet with prof. Catalina Ancuta, who holds the post of vice-rector for internationalization and diaspora at the same university. The meeting was an extraordinary opportunity for the exchange of ideas, experiences and information between the two institutions, deepening understanding and cooperation between them.

Following this visit, prof. dr. Jakupi visited the King Michael I University of Sciences in Timisoara. She was accompanied by the vice-rector for internationalization Sorin Stanciu, Mr. Pascalau, director of the Erasmus+ office and vice-dean prof. Laura from the Faculty of Agriculture. During these fruitful meetings, prof. dr. Jakupi received a lot of valuable information about the extraordinary work being done at the university.

The fruitful meetings have initiated enthusiasm for continued collaboration between the University of Pristina, the Western University of Timisoara and the King Michael I University of Sciences. They intend to explore new opportunities for expansion in other areas of mutual interest.

Prof. Dr. Jakupi also expressed her interest in establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between universities. This agreement would lay the groundwork for academic and scientific cooperation, student and staff exchanges, joint projects and other collaborative initiatives.

The University of Prishtina welcomes the deepening of cooperation with the Western University of Timisoara and the University of Life Sciences King Michael I. The visit of prof. dr. Jakupi has strengthened the trust in international partnerships for the advancement of the quality of education, promoting intercultural understanding and creating global opportunities for students and scholars.
