The rector of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, Prof. Dr. Qerim Qerimi, and his associates, met with the KFOR Commander Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia.

During the meeting, readiness for communication, coordination of actions, and close cooperation in beneficial projects for students and the community were reiterated.

The delegation from KFOR was welcomed to the Rectorate of UP by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Qerim Qerimi. During the meeting, the Rector presented a series of projects in which cooperation could be established between both parties in the future, while thanking KFOR for the support they have provided to UP through donations to specific departments.

On the other hand, Major General Ristuccia said that one of his priorities is to create the necessary conditions for a better future for people. "Our main interest is filling the gaps and promoting mutual respect. In this regard, we can work together by organizing various workshops or conferences," he said.

Present at the meeting were also lecturers from the Department of Journalism, Assoc. Prof. Remzije Shahini Hoxhaj and Ass. Blerta Blakaj, who discussed with KFOR ideas and current progress in organizing a conference addressing the topic of women in the field of security.

The UP and KFOR agreed to expand cooperation and have future meetings to address important issues for both parties.
