University of Prishtina Students Continue Studying Across Europe with Erasmus+

The Rector of the University of Prishtina, Arben Hajrullahu, along with Vice Rectors Rozafa Basha and Naim Jerliu, met with students who will study abroad for one semester at European universities through the Erasmus+ program. During the meeting, these students were presented as ambassadors for both the university and the Republic of Kosovo.

In his remarks, Rector Hajrullahu encouraged the students participating in the EU-funded Erasmus+ program to dream big and plan carefully, emphasizing that ambition and preparation are essential for progress in both academic and personal life.

Rector Hajrullahu referred to the students as a reflection of the University of Prishtina and the Republic of Kosovo, adding that their presence at the Rectorate was both an honor and a pleasure.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Bardha Kelmendi, a student from the Faculty of Medicine who will enhance her knowledge at European universities in the coming months, said that everyone is committed to maintaining and strengthening the friendships that the University of Prishtina has created abroad.

She stated that they will create new bridges of cooperation and serve as worthy ambassadors of the University of Prishtina and the Republic of Kosovo. As members of the post-war generation, they are growing alongside the nation.

The Vice Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange, Rozafa Basha, and the Vice Rector for Teaching, Academic Staff Affairs, and Publications, Naim Jerliu, also addressed the students, reiterating the importance of internationalization and academic exchange. The meeting was organized by the Office for International Cooperation at the University of Prishtina.

Kosovo has been part of the Erasmus+ program since 2015, and so far, 6,278 students and professors from Kosovo’s higher education institutions have participated in the program, studying and teaching at European universities.
