Prof. dr. Arta Basha - Jakupi is a professor in the field of architecture at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Pristina, where she had also received the title of graduate engineer in Architecture. She completed her postgraduate studies at Bauhaus-Dessau in Germany, and her doctorate at Bauhaus-Weimar University. She has won numerous grants and scholarships through various projects and institutions such as: ERASMUS (2022 and 2019), Fulbright Specialist (2022 and 2019), CEEPUS (2018), Fullbright Visiting Scholar (2017-2018), HigherKOS- OEAD (2015), Erasmus Mundus-JoinEU-SEE PENTA (2014), Japan Foundation (2012), Open Society Institute Soros (2010) Hungary, Madeleine Albright Scholarship (2008), University of Pristina (2007 and 2009), Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (2006), American University of Bulgaria (2000), which enabled positions such as a researcher and guest lecturer: in the USA, Japan, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She completed her post-doctoral studies at the Technical University of Vienna and stayed as a researcher at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in the USA as a Fulbright Scholar. In her faculty, she has been in several management positions, such as: vice-dean, head of department, coordinator for academic development and coordinator for various urban-architectural projects. 

Basha - Jakupi has gained experience in the management and assessment of quality and other processes in higher education institutions as a member of the State Quality Council in the Accreditation Agency in Kosovo. Also, she has been engaged as an external international expert for the evaluation of higher education institutions of various EU accreditation agencies. Prof. Basha - Jakupi publishes the findings of her research in prestigious scientific and professional publications. She regularly participates in international scientific conferences, acts as a reviewer for various magazines and books and is a member of professional associations and international editorial boards.

In the professional field, she has carried out a number of urban-architectural projects through her engagement in architectural studios, international organizations and local institutions. She was elected vice-rector for internationalization and mobility at the University of Pristina in December 2022.
