A group of German entrepreneurs and professionals from various fields presented their future projects to Rector Arben Hajrullahu and the management of the University of Prishtina (UP), aiming to involve Kosovo and its largest and most important university.

Representatives from three German companies detailed the projects of the companies they represented.

One of these projects focused on space marketing and advisory services for the space industry, proposing the creation of a National Space Agency for Kosovo and preparations for the future launch of satellites on behalf of Europe’s youngest state. For this process, as well as for potential space education programs, the expertise and assistance of the University of Prishtina were requested.

The other two projects, presented by different companies, related to the future technological revolution—prototype-stage equipment designed to simplify and modernize life in renewable energy, environmental protection, and the recycling/repurposing of industrial waste for the common good.

During and after the presentations, Rector Arben Hajrullahu urged the German entrepreneurs to pursue the concrete and robust development of these ideas. He requested that they consider opening factories in Kosovo for the aforementioned products, citing lower labor costs, a predominantly qualified workforce, and the widespread knowledge of the German language among citizens.

One of the guiding principles in the work of Rector Hajrullahu and the vice-rectors is aligning studies at the University of Prishtina with the country’s economic needs and labor market demands.

The German entrepreneurs arrived in Kosovo and at the University of Prishtina accompanied by business leaders, experts, and representatives of the Kosovo diaspora in Germany and beyond.
