At the Faculty of Education, March 7th—Teacher's Day—was chosen as a special occasion to open the EdTech Studio, a laboratory and space equipped with modern tools to help future educators be ready and prepared for the era of rapid technological developments and artificial intelligence.

During this significant event for the University of Pristina, Rector Arben Hajrullahu stated that such a laboratory will enable the teachers of Kosovo to keep pace with the times. According to Rector Hajrullahu, “those after us will find it easier to keep up with technological development.”

Emphasizing the special importance of the Faculty of Education for the country's development and interests, as it shapes future educators, Rector Hajrullahu mentioned a new program expected to start at this faculty, saying that Educational Technology is the future.

The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, explained that on such festive days, we are very pleased to see concrete results that make the educational system more attractive. Meanwhile, the European Commission representative, Lucia Parducci, stated that this project is just the beginning, as digitalization and innovation in Kosovo's education will continue to develop in the future.

Dean Blerim Saqipi noted that the laboratory inaugurated today, along with another inaugurated last year, will also be open to schools that collaborate with the Faculty of Education. According to him, compared to the pandemic year, everything in this faculty is new and remodeled, but the management's principle is not to compare with the past or nearby faculties, but only with those outside the region.

The work done at the Faculty of Education, Saqipi stated, is proof that change can be implemented in Kosovo. Hasnije Ilazi, the Chair of the State Quality Council at the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, also addressed the audience.

The equipment of EdTech Studios with the latest tools was made possible by the EU project "Transforming the Education System in Kosovo and Albania by Using Digital Technology in Teacher Education" (TKAEDITE). Professor and project coordinator from UP, Krenare Pireva-Nuçi, detailed how this studio will assist students and the future of education.

Finally, the speakers at the event inaugurated the laboratory and toured its facilities.
