The University of Prishtina has continued to climb in the rankings of the globally recognized "Webometrics" platform.

In the January 2025 rankings, published on Monday, January 27, Kosovo’s largest, oldest, and most successful university has secured the 2,540th position.

The university's progress on this platform is even more significant over a one-year period—from January to January. At the beginning of 2024, the University of Prishtina was ranked 2,884th.

This ranking has once again confirmed the University of Prishtina as the highest-ranked higher education institution among all Albanian-language universities in the Albanian-speaking regions.

The Webometrics rankings are updated every six months and are conducted by the "Cybermetrics Lab," which operates under Spain’s National Research Council. The initiative began in 2004 with the aim of promoting knowledge generated by universities.

The 2025 rankings include nearly 32,000 higher education institutions from around the world.
