Rozafa Basha completed her studies in Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Prishtina, where she graduated in 2002 with the title of Graduate Architect Engineer (a five-year study program). In 1998, she was selected as an outstanding student by the University of Prishtina. In the fall of 2007 and spring of 2008, she attended Lund University in Sweden and the Technical University of Santa Maria in Valparaiso, Chile, where she completed an advanced course in the Conservation and Management of Historic Buildings, organized by the HDM (Housing Development and Management) Department of Lund University. She completed her master's degree in Sustainable Urban Design at Lund University in Sweden in 2010, and her Ph.D. at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Polytechnic University of Tirana in 2019, with a dissertation titled “Public Spaces for All – The Case of Prishtina and Prizren.”
Her professional and research work focuses on the interaction of persons with disabilities with the built environment. She has several scientific publications, a published monograph, conference presentations, and dozens of technical reports and professional research papers on this topic.
Since late 2003, she has been employed at the University of Prishtina, where she currently serves as a professor, teachingcourses in residential building design. She has served three terms as the coordinator for academic developments, initially at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture and later at the Faculty of Architecture.
Assistant Professor Dr. Basha has lectured as a visiting professor at La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy (Erasmus+ mobility),the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland (Erasmus+ mobility), etc., and in Prishtina for students of TU Chemnitz and TU Berlin. During four sessions of the University of Prishtina Summer School, she has co-taught with professors from METU in Ankara, Turkey; Mediadesign Hochschule, Germany; and Politecnico di Milano, Italy. She is currently a member of the international scientific committee of the master's program MUST (Master in Temporary Uses) at Politecnico di Milano. She has also been actively involved in several international Tempus and Erasmus+ projects.
As of October 1, 2024, she was appointed Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange at the University of Prishtina.
