Continuous Empowerment of UP: Several Study Programs Reaccredited and Accredited 🎓

In the meeting held on May 19, 2025, the State Council of Quality, which operates under the Kosovo Accreditation Agency, reaccredited and accredited several study programs across the faculties of the University of Prishtina (UP). This further strengthens the leading institution of higher education in Kosovo and beyond.

As secondary school pupils, who will soon become university students in Kosovo, are approaching the final days of their secondary education, the University of Prishtina 🏛️—their top choice for starting an academic career, continues its relentless institutional empowerment and its long-standing tradition of teaching and scientific research. 📚💡

To the already extensive list of accredited programs at UP, which offers various career-oriented opportunities for recent high school graduates, the State Council of Quality decided to add seven more study programs ⭐ across five faculties just eight days ago.

As a result, the University of Prishtina currently offers students 63 programs at the bachelor level, 70 at the master level, and seven at the doctoral level, bringing the total to 140 study programs across all three academic levels.

For the first time, the master’s program in Energy and Energy Management ⚡ from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been accredited after a nine-year wait.

Along with the accreditation of this program in energy, a highly important sector for the country, the State Council of Quality, in its meeting held on May 19, 2025, also reaccredited the following programs:

  • Veterinary Medicine (🐄) (DMV level) — Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine
  • Viticulture and Horticulture (🍇) (master level) — Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine
  • Plant Production (🌱) (bachelor level) — Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine
  • Electrical Energy (⚡) (bachelor level) — Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Pharmacy (💊) (MPH level) — Faculty of Medicine
  • Biology (🔬) (master level) — Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences

The University of Prishtina, the oldest, largest, and most successful higher education institution in Kosovo 🏆 and ranked the highest among all universities in the Albanian-speaking regions of the Balkans on international platforms, successfully completed its institutional reaccreditation process in December 2024. This university is accredited until 2030.
