The University of Prishtina has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan. Tanya Hsu, the Director of International Relations at National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan, informed Rector Arben Hajrullahu and Vice-Rector Rozafa Basha about the signing of this memorandum through an email from the Taiwanese side.

In her announcement, Ms. Hsu expressed her delight at including Kosovo among the countries hosting students from Taiwan. She also mentioned her anticipation of welcoming students from the University of Prishtina to study there soon, as part of the international community.

The memorandum, signed by Rectors Arben Hajrullahu and Chih-Peng Li, aims to enhance and support academic cooperation in areas such as training, research, curriculum development, postgraduate education, and the exchange of students and academic staff.

Before the memorandum was signed, Anna Y. C. Ho, Deputy Director of the Taipei Representative Office in Hungary, visited the Rectorate of the University of Prishtina for a meeting in January 2025. During that time, discussions were held about scholarships that the National University of Taiwan could offer to students from the University of Prishtina.
