The editors of the scientific journal Kosova Anthropologica invite you to send your contribution to the journal’s first issue.

Kosova Anthropologica is an annual academic journal of the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”. The journal is an open forum for scholars, mainly in the field of cultural/social anthropology, archaeology, and linguistic anthropology.

Kosova Anthropologica is open to contributions from researchers interested to publish in the anthropological study of culture, society and lifeworlds, focusing in Kosova and the region. The journal welcomes studies focused on empirically oriented anthropological analysis of specific themes, but it publishes work which is also theoretically oriented and book, film, documentary and other visual media reviews.

Therefore, Kosova Anthropologica invites you to send:

Original (scientific) papers (6000-8000 words) containing previously unpublished original research and reviews (original, concise and critical reviews of books, films, documentaries and other medial forms associated with anthropology - from 1000 up to 1500 words);

All proposals should be submitted to [email protected] and/or [email protected], no later than 31 July 2023.

Below you’ll find short intro to guidelines for manuscript preparation:

• The manuscript should include an abstract of a maximum of 150-200 words, plus 5 keywords. The first page should contain the name, professional status and official address of each author;

• The manuscript should be sent in WORD format.

• Illustrations, figures, tables must be placed within the text (photographs and other illustrations must also be attached separately in JPEG format, appropriately named and at high resolution);

•  Submitted research articles will be read and reviewed by the editorial team and anonymous peer-reviewers. 

Please use Chicago Manual of Style – Author – Date System (17th edition) as the system of reference for submission to Kosova Anthropologica. Endnotes can be used for further explanations.
