The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in the United States awarded former University of Prishtina student and well-known RTK presenter Ms. Alketa Gashi-Fazliu the “Orpheus Texts Journalist of the Year 2025” award.
The international award was presented to Ms. Gashi-Fazliu by Mundus Artium Press, based at the University of Texas at Dallas, and was handed to her by its director, Mr. Gjekë Marinaj.
At the ceremony, welcoming remarks were delivered by Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange Prof. Rozafa Basha, Kosovo’s first ambassador to the United States, Mr. Avni Spahiu, academic Zymer Neziri, University of Texas professor Gjekë Marinaj, teacher Agnesa Çipa, and the award recipient, Ms. Alketa Gashi-Fazliu. She described the University of Prishtina as the place where she was shaped both academically and personally.
After the ceremony, Vice-Rector Basha met with Gjekë Marinaj, director of Mundus Artium Press and professor of dissertation and international research at the University of Texas at Dallas.
The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation between the University of Prishtina, the University of Texas at Dallas, and other higher education institutions around the world where Professor Marinaj works.
Professor Marinaj said it is a pleasure and an honor to use his full authority to help build connections and networks between UP and the institutions where he teaches and with which he maintains contact.
