The University of Prishtina invites you to participate in an international workshop focused on pharmacoepidemiology, health economics, and the use of artificial intelligence tools in healthcare planning and policy making.
The workshop, titled "From Evidence to Decision: Pharmacoepidemiology, Health Economics, and AI-Enabled Digital Tools," is scheduled for June 23, 2026, and will be held at the Faculty of Medicine.
This important event serves as a pre-session for this year's Prishtina International Summer University (PISU) and is organized by PISU in cooperation with the Institute of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine.
The workshop will include lectures and discussions on how medicines affect large populations, the economics of healthcare regulation, and how digital and artificial intelligence tools can support decision-making in healthcare. It will be co-led by Professor Zanfina Ademi from Monash University in Australia, who is recently affiliated with the University of Prishtina; Professor Olaf Klungel from Utrecht University in the Netherlands; and Professor Kreshnik Hoti from the University of Prishtina.
Professor Ademi is one of the most well-known international experts in drug economics and health technology assessment. Professor Klungel is a proven European specialist in pharmacoepidemiology, and Professor Hoti is a leading academic in Kosovo, specializing in pharmacy and digital health.
This workshop will be very useful for participants. Through lectures, discussions, and practical examples, attendees will learn how scientific evidence influences policies, regulations, and decisions that directly impact modern healthcare systems.
The University of Prishtina warmly welcomes healthcare professionals, postgraduate students, researchers, and decision-makers who want to deepen their understanding of how science, technology, and health policy come together.
