A few days after the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Prishtina was announced as the winner of a grant from the ShER program to support the creation of a joint doctoral program titled "Sustainable Architecture and Spatial Planning," the first meeting was held between representatives of ShER, the Rectorate, and the Faculty of Architecture.

ShER program representatives, Mr. Aqim Emurlli, Mr. Nehat Dervishi, and Ms. Donjeta Ibra, were welcomed at the University of Prishtina’s Rectorate by Prof. Rozafa Basha, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Academic Exchange; Prof. Avni Hajdari, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Projects, and Innovation; and the project coordinators: Prof. Violeta Nushi, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and Prof. Arta Basha-Jakupi from the same faculty.

Representatives of the University of Prishtina expressed gratitude to the ShER program team for their support and selection of this program. The program, as an interdisciplinary cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology, directly addresses the developmental needs of the country and aligns with the strategic objectives of the University of Prishtina.

Mr. Emurlli emphasized that joint programs represent the future of higher education and thanked colleagues from the University of Prishtina for their dedication and cooperation in realizing this initiative.

The program will be developed by the Faculty of Architecture in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at the Vienna University of Technology. In the first phase, the curriculum will be designed and accreditation documentation will be prepared. If implementation support is secured in the second phase, the program will also include academic staff and student exchanges.

To carry out this process, a nine-member working group has been established at the Faculty of Architecture, and has already begun drafting the program.
