The University of Prishtina marks an important moment in its history. Through the initiative for practical work, a record number of applications has been recorded, and this is also a result of doubling the payment for engaged students. Through this program, about 160 students engaged in the paid internship program in administrative offices have joined the UP.

This opportunity is offered to active students as well as BA and MA graduates, about the practical implementation of theoretical skills in various professional and administrative fields.

Rector of UP, prof. Dr. Qerim Qerimi, in his introductory speech, emphasized the importance of the inauguration of the program and the connection that this program offers to students with the labor market.

"Paid internships benefit not only students but also employers and our university. Our students gain unique, valuable practical experience, bridging the gap between the theoretical knowledge they receive and their real-world application. Employers have the opportunity to identify and invest in future talent, while our university cultivates stronger links with the labor market and expands our reputation for producing generations of highly skilled and valuable graduates for the labor market," he added.

The ceremony was also greeted by the personnel manager at the University of Pristina, Mr. Fidan Hamiti adding that engagement in practice enables students to develop professionally.

"I recommend to students to see your internship as a real job. Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and integrity at all times. Building a strong work ethic and demonstrating your ability to adapt to different work environments will not only help you make an impression on employers but also increase your chances of employment in the job market after graduation" added Mr. Hamiti.

Former intern Mihane Fetahu shared her experience in the administrative offices of the UP with the students. She highly appreciated the internship at the university, which considers having opened doors in her professional journey.

Meanwhile, the University of Prishtina wishes much success to the engaged students.
