Today, the Rector of the University of Prishtina, prof. dr. Qerim Qerimi, met UP professors with the most citations on international platforms. The Rector, accompanied by the vice-rector for research, projects, innovation and information, prof. dr. Sefer Avdijaj and the official for scientific research support, Mr. Fitim Seferi, welcomed the most active scientists of the University of Prishtina in the premises of the rectorate.

Qerimi expressed his personal and the University of Prishtina gratitude to the professors, for the contribution given for UP for years and decades, thus helping raise the level of scientific research, excel the image and the best international ranking of our institution .

“In a way that allows you and the institution to benefit from the usefulness of your work, I have foreseen changes in the Statute, which also affect the aspect of scientific research. Among other things, it has been viewed as necessary to create a series of facilities for professors who stand out due to the large number of citations or impact on the scientific advancement of the UP, offering them priority for advancement to higher academic positions, more time available for research, priority in access to research funds of the university or other institutions”, informed Rector Qerimi.

On the other hand, the professors present at this meeting expressed to feel honored by the evaluation given to them by the rector of UP, as they emphasized their willingness to help even more in increasing the quality of scientific research at UP.

Concrete projects which impact scientific research and the budget allocated for science increase by the UP were among topics discussed in the meeting.
