University of Luxembourg international Summer School
The University of Luxembourg invites you to decode Europe and follow the traces of its past during an International Summer School.

The University of Luxembourg International Summer School (ULISS) will take place from 25 June to 13 July 2018. This year’s edition of ULISS is organised in collaboration with our Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History.

ULISS will give you the opportunity to broaden your field of expertise and discover new horizons by combining academic lectures, expert interventions on site, as well as “hands-on workshops” during specific field trips, including a five-day immersion in Berlin.

ULISS will span three weeks. The first two weeks are dedicated to decode Europe while the last week consists of language instruction in either French for beginners or advanced English.

The tuition fee is 1.500€. The University of Luxembourg offers a full scholarships to a number of students from targeted countries, thanks to the support of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The scholarship includes:

·         accommodation during ULISS,

·         field trips in Luxembourg, France and Germany,

·         one week in Berlin,  

·         cultural activities,  

·         classroom materials.

 

Students will have to finance the cost of their travel to Luxembourg, their international insurance, visa and meals. 

As for the application procedure, students must be nominated by their home university via email to [email protected] by 15th April. The nomination should include the following information:

  1. Name
  2. E-mail address
  3. Study programme at the home university

All relevant information for the online application will then be sent directly to the student.
